I am currently a student at Virginia Tech in my final year seeking a Bachelor of Architecture. My professional experience includes working for three summers at Wiley Wilson, an architecture firm in Richmond Virginia. I am interested in the building envelope, and my thesis explores the building connections of a historic building and an adaptive reuse program.
My interests outside of architecture are gymnastics, rock climbing, painting, volunteering, and traveling. I have been a competitive gymnast since fourth grade and am now secretary of the Virginia Tech Club Gymnastics Team. My travel interest stems from my study abroad experiences and from my family trips all over the USA. I have currently visited 29 of the 61 National Parks in the USA, and it is my goal to visit all of them. In Fall of 2018 I spent a semester abroad traveling with the CAUS Architecture Fall Travel Program in Europe. We visited both modern and historic architecture all throughout Europe moving cities every 2-3 days, which widened my knowledge of both the world and of architecture.
Worked in the Richmond Firm documenting projects, visiting sites, going to client meetings, and experiencing the architectural work environment.
Taught and managed the development of groups of 6-12 children with gymnastics.
The competition through RCI (now known as IIBEC) encouraged students to design an elementary school with energy efficiency and constructability as a focus. The school design was judged by a jury of Architects and Engineers.
